AI Resume Builder

Generate a tailored resume draft with AI from a job title and description, with an estimated keyword-match score to help you improve it.

About AI Resume Builder

The Resume Builder creates a tailored resume draft from a job title and a pasted job description. It writes the resume in markdown, estimates an ATS (applicant tracking system) match score, and lists the keywords from the job description that it matched and those it found missing, so you can adjust your wording.

It is powered by Google Gemini. The generated resume is a starting point built from the information you supply; you must replace any placeholders and make sure every statement is true and reflects your real experience before you send it to an employer.

How to use the AI Resume Builder

  1. Enter the job title you are applying for.
  2. Paste the full job description into the Job Description box.
  3. Click Generate Resume and wait for the draft.
  4. Review the ATS Score, Matched Keywords and Missing Keywords.
  5. Copy the resume into your editor, replace generic statements with your real achievements and dates, and tailor it further.

What it can do

Job-specific draft

Wording is shaped around the role and the requirements in the description.

ATS score

An indicative score of how well the draft matches the posting’s keywords.

Keyword lists

See which important terms are covered and which are missing.

Copy-ready

Copy the markdown into Word, Google Docs or your CV template.

When it is useful

  • Creating a first draft when applying to a role that differs from your previous CV.
  • Checking that your resume mentions the skills a posting emphasises.
  • Finding wording ideas for summaries and skills sections.

Good to know

  • The ATS score is an AI estimate, not the output of a real applicant tracking system. Treat it as a rough guide.
  • The tool does not know your actual employment history. Never submit invented experience, qualifications or dates.
  • The job description and job title you enter are sent to an external AI service.
  • Format the final resume in a clean, simple layout. Many ATS systems struggle with tables, columns and graphics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Is the ATS score accurate?
No official ATS provides a universal score. The number is an AI estimate of keyword alignment and should be used as guidance only.
Q.Will the resume include my real work history?
No. The tool only knows the job title and description you provide, so the draft is generic. You must add your own employers, dates, achievements and education.
Q.Is my data private?
The text you enter is sent to our server and to Google’s Gemini service to generate the draft. Do not paste personal identifiers you do not want processed.
Q.What do matched and missing keywords mean?
Matched keywords appear in both the job description and the draft. Missing keywords are important terms from the posting that the draft lacks; add them only if they honestly describe your experience.
Q.Can I download it as a PDF or Word file?
Copy the text into Word or Google Docs, format it, and export it as PDF or DOCX.
Q.How can I improve the result?
Paste the entire job description including responsibilities and requirements, then edit the draft to add measurable results and details from your own career.
